“Like many people in the world, I am tired of not playing to win … of just surviving … of just getting by!” Matt explains. “There is so much better in store for me … and for you … if we just begin to grow.”

Matt DeVries, a husband and father of six young children, lives in Nashville, Tennessee.  During the day, he is a construction law and commercial litigation attorney with one of the oldest law firms in the nation and one of the largest in the Southeast.  During the evenings, he fulfills any number roles in his homeschooling family, including math teacher, principal and even janitor.

Matt and his wife Courtney started growingandgrowing.com in 2003 to chronicle the tales of their then-three young children.  In 2008-2009, the site became a hub to learn about the miraculous recovery of Matt’s father, a local Nashville pastor who was involved in a near fatal car crash.  More recently, Matt shares what it takes to balance family and work, love a wife, train some children, and prevail in life … all while trying to lose a few pounds.
